Christelle Serée-Chaussinand

Christelle Serée-Chaussinand is Senior Lecturer at the Université de Bourgogne (Dijon), where she teaches contemporary Irish literature, civilisation and culture. Her research focuses on autobiographical writing and the modes of self-representation at the interface between text and image, in literature, painting and the visual arts in general. She is the author of several publications on contemporary Irish literature, more specifically on such writers and artists as Sean O’Faolain, Sebastian Barry, Derek Mahon, Paul Muldoon, Seamus Heaney, Sinéad Morrissey or Louis le Brocquy. She is in charge of the “Image et Critique” research program of the Centre Interlangues TIL (EA 4182), and runs a seminar entitled: “Critique et création: Les images en question”. She is the treasurer and circulation officer of Interfaces, a journal of word & image studies.
